Biocides decisions
The European Commission has decided not to approve existing active substances:
- terbutryn [1], 1,2-Benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one (BIT) [2] and tetrahydro-1,3,4,6-tetrakis(hydroxymethyl)imidazo[4,5-d]imidazole-2,5(1H,3H)-dione (TMAD) [3] for product-types 9 [1], 9 [2] and 12 [3].
- poly(dimethyloctadecyl[3-(trihydroxysilyl)propyl]ammonium chloride) generated from dimethyloctadecyl[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ammonium chloride for product-types 2, 7 and 9.
The Commission has granted Union authorisations for:
- the biocidal product family 'ECA Disinfect Product family 5'
- the biocidal product family 'BPF THO TM Desana'
- the biocidal product family 'Prisman Händedesinfektion'
- the biocidal product family 'Lyso IPA Hand Disinfection'.
